Selling to companies
Office managers want a simple way to book a group: one link, one payment, tickets for each colleague. Set up group or table tiers alongside single tickets, and send each guest their own QR ticket by WhatsApp and email.
HMRC's annual party exemption is useful to mention to business buyers: an annual party open to all employees that costs £150 or less per head, VAT included, is exempt from tax and National Insurance. It's a limit, not an allowance.
A release plan for December
Open sales in early autumn with a capped early bird tier, then standard tiers through November. Fridays and Saturdays in early to mid December sell first. Keep a final release for the week itself if capacity remains.
Advertise the all-in price, booking fee included, so finance teams see the real cost per head straight away.
Licensing deadlines
If the venue isn't licensed for the hours or activities you're planning in England and Wales, a Temporary Event Notice must reach the council at least 10 clear working days before the event; weekends and bank holidays don't count.
For a party on Friday 18 December 2026, the council must receive it by Thursday 3 December 2026. In Scotland, ask your Licensing Board about an occasional licence.
The night itself
Groups arrive together, so the door gets sudden peaks. Scan with several phones in parallel and use the live headcount to stay within capacity. A guest list tier for the client's organiser and VIPs keeps everyone in the same check.

2. Quote all-in prices per head.
