UK ticketing platforms compared

How the main platforms are positioned, and the questions to ask each one.

Every platform has its strengths. This comparison describes what each one is typically used for and which numbers you should clarify before signing.

We only quote specific fees when they're public and unambiguous. Otherwise: get a written offer.

What to look for

Large box-office networks

Ticketmaster and See Tickets are common for arenas, tours, festivals and established venues. Terms are usually negotiated per organiser.

Student, club and discovery platforms

Fatsoma and Fixr are widely used for student nights and club nights with promoter teams. Skiddle combines event discovery with ticketing. DICE sells through its app with a focus on gigs and clubs.

Self-service and Tickean

Eventbrite and Ticket Tailor are quick to set up and publish their pricing. Tickean: 0 per cent for organisers, buyers pay a booking fee, fast payouts, QR tickets by WhatsApp and a white-label checkout. Built for organisers who promote their own events.

Understand the real cost: 0% organiser fee.

0% fee for organisers: here's how the final price works.
