What the buyer pays
The price to advertise, booking fee included. Published rates, November 2026. Fatsoma's own fee is 10%, minimum £1. The promoter sets the booking fee on the event, and a live £25 ticket showed £5. Professional starts at £1,500 plus the 10%. Eventbrite includes 20% VAT on its fee, which applies when the organiser has no verified VAT ID. Skiddle excludes RapidScan. DICE is the self-serve rate, deducted from the payout.

Ticket Tailor can be lower. Pay-as-you-go plus Stripe is about £1.29 on a £25 ticket if the buyer pays the card charge, against Tickean's £1.59. That £1.59 is one line and includes card processing. The organiser is not the merchant of record.
Questions
Is VAT included in 4.50% + £0.46?
Yes. VAT is included in the price. The buyer pays 4.50% + £0.46 and nothing else on top of the ticket. The face value is the organiser's.
Who receives the ticket price?
The organiser keeps 100% of the face value. The booking fee is Tickean's, and it already includes card processing. Stripe is not a second charge for the organiser or the buyer.
Is the fee per ticket or per order?
Per paid ticket. Two £25 tickets are 2 × £1.59 = £3.18. A free ticket is £0.
How does this compare with Humanitix?
Humanitix UK publishes 4.67% + £0.46, then adds 20% VAT on the fee. On a £25 ticket the buyer pays £1.95 extra. Tickean is £1.59, and VAT is included in the price. Published rates, November 2026. Tickean does not give its profits to charity.
Are you cheaper than Ticket Tailor?
Not always. Ticket Tailor pay-as-you-go is £0.60 plus VAT, and Stripe is extra. On a £25 ticket those two can be about £1.29 if the buyer pays the card charge. Tickean is £1.59 on that ticket, in one line, with card processing included. The organiser does not run a Stripe account.
What price should I advertise?
The total, booking fee included. A £25 ticket is £26.59. A £10 ticket is £10.91. A £40 ticket is £42.26. Showing the face value and adding the fee at the last step is the drip pricing the DMCC Act 2024 targets.
