Humanitix alternative: a lower booking fee on every ticket

Humanitix publishes 4.67% + £0.46 before VAT. Tickean is 4.50% + £0.46, and VAT is included in the price.

Humanitix is a well-known option for UK organisers (self-serve events, charities, schools). The figures on this page are published rates as of November 2026. Where a platform does not publish a rate, the page says so.

Humanitix is a self-serve ticketing platform. Its UK pricing card is public. The comparison below uses that card, not the Australia card and not a one-off checkout that does not match it.

What to look for

What Humanitix publishes

Published fee: 4.67% + £0.46 per paid ticket, excluding VAT. VAT at 20% is added on the fee, so the buyer pays 5.604% + £0.552. Charities and schools are listed at 3.33% + £0.25 excluding VAT. Free events are £0.

Payout: Per Humanitix's current payout schedule.

Tickean charges the organiser 0 per cent. Buyers pay 4.50% + £0.46 per paid ticket. Card processing is included, and VAT is included in the price. The organiser keeps the ticket price.

Total cost, not a headline percentage

Run the numbers on your next event: capacity, ticket price, your fee, the buyer's booking fee and the date you need the money (artists, sound, security). A low percentage doesn't help much if the payout only lands weeks after the event. Mandatory fees have to be in the first price buyers see.

When Tickean is an alternative

Tickean charges organisers 0 per cent. Buyers pay 4.50% + £0.46 per paid ticket, card processing included, and VAT is included in the price. On a £25 ticket that is £1.59, so the price to advertise is £26.59. The ticket price is ordered within 2 working days of the sale. Weekends and UK bank holidays do not count. Tickets arrive as QR codes by WhatsApp and email, and you scan the door with a smartphone. For arena tours with a national box-office network, a traditional ticketing company may still make sense.

Buyer extra on one ticket: Tickean and Humanitix

Published rates, November 2026. Tickean is 4.50% + £0.46 per paid ticket. Card processing is included, and VAT is included in the price. That is £0.91 on a £10 ticket, £1.59 on £25 and £2.26 on £40. The organiser keeps the ticket price. The total the buyer sees includes the fee from the first price.

£25 ticket: Tickean £1.59, Humanitix £1.95.

£40 ticket: Tickean £2.26, Humanitix £2.79.

Humanitix's buyer extra includes 20% VAT added on the fee. VAT is included in Tickean's price. On a £25 ticket that is £1.59 against Humanitix's £1.95. Tickean does not give its profits to charity.

Understand the real cost: 0% organiser fee.
